Made with fermented black beans, soy sauce, ginger, garlic and lots of chilli, these steamed pork belly ribs take only 15 minutes to prep, and they’re guaranteed to be a crowd favourite.

With a zingy horseradish cream

Lamb shanks with roasted beetroot, served with loads of herbs, feta, and horseradish cream, are the perfect winter classic. It’s the perfect dish to put a smile on your face this chilly season.

An easy weeknight dessert

With loads of winter flavours like ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and orange zest, you don’t even have to turn the oven on to make this dessert – it’s all done in the microwave. Desserts don’t get better than this!

Clarissa’s chai rice pudding

A twist on the comfort food classic

Made with chai and vanilla and served with crispy coconut wafers, or tuiles, this dessert is creamy and packed full of flavour. Best of all, if you’re hosting a dinner party, you can make it up to three days in advance.

A delicious lentil and tofu dish that’s so good, you won’t even realise it’s vegetarian. With mushrooms, eggplant and loads of spices, this dish is the perfect way to warm up on a cold day.

Perfect for the cooler weather, this sausage and bean bake is pure comfort food. With pancetta, sage, thyme and parmesan, this recipe is packed so full of winter flavours, you’ll stop dreaming about summer altogether.

Clarissa’s Malaysian chicken curry

With a special spice powder

Clarissa’s version of chicken curry is made with a special Malaysian spice powder, plus star anise, cinnamon, curry leaves, garlic and ginger. Finished with potatoes, chicken and coconut cream, this dish is the next best thing to being in Malaysia itself.

Flaky, sweet and full of flavour, trout is perfect served as part of a warm salad and Colin’s sharing a real cracker. With braised leeks, dill, thyme, onions, roasted pine nuts and cos lettuce all smothered in a creamy lemon dressing, you need to add this dish to your repertoire!

Forget fancy restaurants, the best food is found on the streets and this week Colin’s making his favourite street food of all time: Banh Mi.

The thing that really takes this dish to the next level is Colin’s homemade pâté, which is way easier to make than you might think.
