When does Black Friday 2024 start and end?
Black Friday 2024 is on Friday, November 29 and the sales run through to Cyber Monday on December 2. Sales typically end sometime after that, however, you may find that some Black Friday deals are gone before that if there’s limited stock.
What is Black Friday?
Black Friday is an annual shopping event known for its hugely discounted sales and doorbuster deals offered by retailers, marking the start of the holiday shopping season.
Shoppers flock to stores to take advantage of these promotions, often leading to long lines and crowded shopping centres — which is why online shopping is the preferred choice of many.
What is Cyber Monday?
While Black Friday includes brick-and-mortar stores as well as online retailers, Cyber Monday – the first Monday after the American Thanksgiving holiday – usually just includes the latter in the mega-sale (and sometimes even further discounts on products). This year, Cyber Monday is on December 2, 2024.
Is there Black Friday in Australia?
Black Friday is one of the biggest sales events in Australia, despite being relatively new compared to other big sales such as Boxing Day or End of Financial Year.
It first became popular among retailers and shoppers in the early to mid-2010s. But it has quickly become a key period for retailers and shoppers based on its timing before Christmas and the range of deals available. The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has even detailed how Black Friday has changed our spending patterns!
Is Click Frenzy or Black Friday better?
While both sales events offer great deals, Black Friday typically provides more discounts, often with a wider range of products. Its proximity to Christmas makes it advantageous for holiday shopping, offering ample opportunities to save on gifts and essentials.
