My Kitchen Rules is back and for this season, they have a line-up of brilliant home cooks who are ready to set their kitchens alight with unforgettable flavours, unique personalities and plenty of drama. From besties and lovers to cousins and friends, there’s a variety of people across almost every state in Australia.
We’ve only just started the season and we’re already loving the traditional and bold new dishes being served up, as well as the fiesty and fierce competition and personalities around the dinner table. Fans are already divided on who their faves are, and who they want out ASAP.
On MKR Instagram page, one commented, “Yayyyy…my two favourite teams are 1st and 2nd….hope the boys win!”
Another said, “Over Michael & Rielli, Jacinta & Mel and Maria & Bailey already! It’s a cooking show guys. Get over yourselves ?”

Danielle & Marko
WA
Happy couple Danielle and Marko are young, fun and obsessed with TikTok, radiating good vibes and a lot of heart. After meet 7 years ago at a music festival, they’re now happily living with Marko’s family in Perth and saving to purchase their first home and build a future together.
Danielle wanted to come on MKR because it “combines so many things that I love: competing, cooking, travelling, meeting new people and getting to spend time with Marko.”
Growing up in a Serbian household, Marko learned to cook from his dad. “My passion and skills also developed through trial and error, creativity and observing what works.”

Amy & Lara
QLD
Amy and Lara are Aussie mums from QLD. They’re confident and fierce, unafraid to cut to the chase or have a good laugh. Amy is a self-taught occasional private chef and Lara is a tech consultant with a wicked sense of humour and passion for food.
“My passions include overthinking, walking for clarity and karaoke for chaos,” Lara said. “My love of eating and watching my family entertain inspired me.”
Amy describes her cooking style as “a flavour-bomb sharing feast” with a “passion for flavour and making other people happy with love and laughter in the kitchen.”

Mark & Tan
SA
Mark and Tan met years ago at a martial arts event and have been good mates ever since. Country boy turned city slicker, Mark is a former personal trainer who runs his own sports and gym consulting business, while Tan owns a thriving hospitality business, managing 3 bars in Adelaide.
“MKR is a chance to try something different and interesting, combining the competition element and cooking alongside Tan,” Mark said.
“I have a Thai background, which means I grew up learning to cook traditional cuisine from my parents.”

Justin (30) and Will (36)
Best mates from NSW
Representing NSW in My Kitchen Rules are Justin and Will. They live and breath food, fitness and fatherhood, and their bromance officially kicked off when their wives introduced them 12 years ago. They’re all about big flavours and bold banter with a competitive streak that knows no bounds.
“We’re passionate and competitive, but we stay in sync,” Justin said. “There’s plenty of banter and belief, and we know exactly how to play to each other’s strengths.”
Will added, “Cooking food doesn’t need to be complicated. For most families, cooking through the week can feel overwhelming.
We’re all on the same boat. Never forget to gather and leave the phones behind.”

Anne (66) and Maree (43)
Greek mum and daughter from VIC
If there’s one thing we know about the Greek, it’s that they know how to cook up a storm. Anne and Maree are “fun, sensitive, bubbly and the life of the party”. Though they’re mother and daughter, they consider their relationship more like best friends, bonded by strong family values and a deep pride in their Greek heritage.
“I learned [to cook] by watching my mum,” Anne said. “I’d sit next to her and ask her questions about why she used certain spices. She was so patient with me.”
Maree added, “Food brings people together. It has a sense of community and family. Everyone is welcome at our table.”

Michael (30) and Rielli (29)
Opinionated couple from QLD
Michael and Rielli have been together for 5 years. They consider themselves a classic, yet contrasting pair who complement in all the right ways. Michael is the meat expert in the kitchen while Rielli serves up shop-quality cakes and pastries.
Michael joined the competition “to support Rielli’s dream of opening a bakery, to have fun and to challenge ourselves.”
Rielli said, “I grew up watching the Food Channel. I was completely obsessed with Cake Boss and Planet Cake! That’s where my love of
desserts originated. After travelling and trying all different cuisines, I fell in love with all types of food.”

Maria (30) and Bailey (28)
Boss Friends from SA
These competitive go-getters will try their hand at anything. Maria runs her own cookie and brownie business after relocating to Australia from Greece and Bailey was a former ballet dancer with a more recent love of food.
“I’m completely self-taught,” Maria said. “I learned by watching cooking shows and extensive research on YouTube, then experimenting in the kitchen. No fancy training, just a lot of love for food, curiosity and plenty of trial and error.”
Bailey added, “Maria taught me the more technical side of cooking. From my family, I learned how to be creative with whatever’s in the fridge or pantry.”

Lol (26) and Lil (25)
Besties from QLD
OG besties turned pest-control administration queens, Lol and Lil have been friends since they were babies. With sparkling energy, effortless banter and laughs, they are ready to bring their hearty, homecooked meals to the MKR table.
“My grandma is my biggest inspiration,” Lol said. “I was in the kitchen with her for as long as I can remember and learned so much from her.”
Lil added, “My passion for cooking grew as I got older. I always loved watching cooking shows growing up, they inspired me to
learn. Cooking for my friends and family brings me so much joy.”

Mel (38) and Jacinta (37)
Feisty Cousins from NSW
Mel and Jacinta are ready to stir the pot! These fiesty cousins are eager to prove that healthy cooking doesn’t need to be boring, complicated or expensive. Jacinta has a background in nutritional medicine and Mel loves comforting classics with a healthy twist.
“My cooking style is surprisingly healthy and creative, blending bold flavours with wholesome ingredients, and always leaving room for a bit of experimentation,” Mel said.
“I want to encourage everyone to give cooking a go and have fun with it,” Jacinta added. “It doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. It can be simple, joyful and one of the most powerful ways to care for yourself and others.”
